What a wonderful 1st year of marriage! I wish I could put into words all the fun we've had. The Lord has been faithful, and He has blessed. I'm so thankful for my sweet husband, Paul.
Here are some pictures from our 1st year of marriage! Hope you enjoy!
Sooooooooo unbelievably blessed!!! :)
Here's to many more years of lots of love, laughter, and happiness!!
I love you, Paul Hendrix! Thankful God gave me you!
What's been going on lately?
1. Started back to school @ NP on July 31. Been going strong ever since.
2. Have I mentioned I'm teaching back @ NP? My home school. I love it so much!
3. My boss/principal/friend is awesome! She just had her sweet baby girl, so she's at home loving on her. Miss her so much!
4. Marriage is still amazing, and it seriously gets better every single day. Some days I think there isn't any way I could love Paul anymore because I feel like I love him SO much...but it comes..somehow. It's a love only God could create and bless me with. And I love it so much. I am so blessed to share life with my best friend.
5. My BABY sister stared her SENIOR year of high school. Pinch me, please. She should NOT be graduating. Seems like yesterday I was walking in her shoes. I'm SOOOO unbelieveably proud of the woman she is becoming. She strives to follow the Lord, and it's evident in every area of her life.
6. My 3 little cousins are fastly growing too. Mimi started 8th grade, KK started 6th grade, & my little smush Payton is 3(1/2) years old. Too bad life doesn't have a pause button. I'd sure push it sometimes.
7. Our famililes are great! Paul's dad will be facing surgery in a few weeks, and we are praying now for that journey and road to recovery. We have a million things to thank God for everyday.
8. Paul and I have just have some really exciting things going on in our life right now!!
9. Our God is good all the time.
10. I'm blessed beyond anything I could have ever imagined or dreamed of.
Life is good, and I cannot thank my sweet Savior enough for being so good to me.
This Friday, our Sunday School class is loading up in a 15 passenger van and heading to Dinosaur, Colorado.
There are 9 of us traveling 23 hours & 38 minutes. That's without stops, but of course we'll be stopping! :) We're planning on spending the night in Kansas Friday night. Then we'll finish the trip on Saturday.
We will be traveling to a little town where the population is 339. Needless to say, that's a small town. However, in this little town, the church (Dinosaur Baptist Church) we are helping has only 17 members. They started out with about 6. Missionaries from Blue Springs, MS, Terry and Dana Pickens, have moved out there to assist in this ministry.
We are going to help do construction work, helping with lunches, a revival, etc.
We are open to whatever the Lord has for us. As always, we go with a "tentative work schedule" on our mission trips, but never once has it stayed the same. :) We just go with the flow. The Lord ALWAYS has opportunities for us.
We're also going to visit Pike's Peak and Yellowstone on the way home. I'm so excited that I get to share this mission trip with my sweet husband too. We love serving our Lord together!!
Here's a picture that made it on the website getaroundnorthms.com. We went to support my little sister and several others from our church who were running in the 5k.
My husband is so cute!! :)
I'll blog about our trip when we get home!
Please pray for us!
Here is the final video.
I have watched it too many times to count. It is definitely a video that'll never get old.
Payton, my sweet little smush, loves it too. It's his new favorite "movie." ;)
Isn't he PRECIOUS?!!
On with the video. It was such a perfect day! Couldn't have wished for anything better.
I'm so thankful that I get to share life with my best friend, Paul.
Happy three year anniversary to the love of my life.
You are truly one of life's greatest and most precious blessings. I'll never be able to thank my God enough for giving you to me. I love you forever!
Today, we also celebrate Easter! I love this holiday so much, because it's the only reason I have peace, hope, and joy in this crazy world. My sweet Savior died the ugliest death for a crime he didn't commit. He took on the sins of the world so that we might have life. Praise God for his sacrifice!! Jesus paid it ALL! All to Him I owe! He is RISEN!! He's worthy of all praise!
How many times do I forget the sacrifice? How many times do I fail to say thank you?
I can't even begin to imagine the pain and suffering you faced.
All to save me from my sins.
I am in awe of the gift you gave to me. Help me to remember daily the love you poured out on the cross. May my life lead others to the foot of that beautiful, terrible cross.
Just can't get this song off my heart today. Hope you'll take time to listen and watch.
Yes, I know it's been almost 2 (1/2) months since my actual honeymoon. But better late than never, right?!
Here we are MARRIED, officially, and headed to Memphis!! :)
The food from the reception was WONDERFUL!!
At the airport EAARRRLLLLYY Sunday morning...about 4:30 a.m..All smiles though!
Paul's first time on an airplane!!
After a 3 (1/2) plane ride to Jamaica, we finally see THIS!!! YES, that's where we stayed. It was FANTASTIC! Paul didn't believe me when I said, "I think that's our resort." Haha!
The next few pictures are just of our awesome room!
This was called the secret box. You could order room service, and drop off your plates/trash, etc. and such in this box.
Here is the beautiful view out our balcony. JAMAICA!!! Our resort had like 8 different restaurants. We ate at several of them. During lunch they had a MASSIVE buffet everyday with everything you could possibly think of. Our first night there we were pretty exhausted from flying...and that CRAZY Jamaician airport, so we got room service.
First night out. We ate Italian. It was YUMMY!!
Second night out. We ate Mexican. DELICIOUS!!
One morning, we had a honeymoon suite breakfast. It was really good!
Third night. We loved the Mexican food so much that we went back! :) Chicken Burrito! I wish I had one now!
Late night walk on the beach!
Last half day in Jamaica! Getting packed up and ready to head back home!
We even got to see Santa in Jamaica!! He stayed at our resort!
Back on the CRAZY bus ride to the airport! Goodbye, for now, Montego Bay!!
And that, my friends, was Jamaica (in a short blog post, of course). It was so beautiful, and we had such a GREAT time! We relaxed and ate entirely too much food. It was the perfect honeymoon. I'm so blessed to be married to my best friend! Hope you enjoyed the pictures! It's 10x prettier in person!
