Home again.

I'm back home from our Sunday School class mission trip to Maine.
We had an amazing time, traveled MAAAANY miles, and met some great people. However, it is always so wonderful to come back home to our Mississippi. I've always heard, "There's no place like home" and that's so true.

While on our mission trip we worked with a church called Southcoast Community Church. We helped do many things around the church including sanding & staining benches, picnic tables, playground equipment, yard work, and cleaned out/organized the church's shed.

The next day we helped out a church member, Mrs. Ruth. She was such a precious lady with a heart the size of Texas. She's the owner and founder of Ruth's Reusable Resources. It's basically a HUGE warehouse with stuff packed in from the floor to the ceiling of things that can be recycled. Companies donate overstocked items to her as well. We sorted what seemed like millions of boxes, moved scrap metal, and organized textbooks. Here's a link to her website to check it out. Ruth's Reusable Resources

We also went to help out a church in Augusta, Maine. We did some yard work and cleaning for the church, and we also helped out a 'random' (I use that word lightly because God allowed our paths to cross) couple who were in the building next door move a bunch of antique items.
We also helped paint a children's ministry house while there too.

On our way home we went to Boston, Mass., New York City, & Washington, D.C.
States we visited while on our trip include: Tenn, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, & Virginia. (14)We also went into Canada while visiting Niagara Falls (beautiful).

Thank you for your prayers! We are all so thankful for the beautiful places we got to go and things we got to do. God has really blessed. :)

Until next time.
Love God. Love people.

Partay.

I always try to have a big get together @ my house before summer actually starts.
Summer is always so busy with folks going on mission trips, summer school, camps, etc.
It's always SOOO much fun to see everybody, and it's good to just catch up.
I have so many wonderful Christian friends, and I am SO thankful for each and everyone of them. We may not see each other as much as we'd like, but there is such a sweet bond when we all reunite :)

Here are some pictures from the night.

Go STATE! :) (Happy Birthday Chris)

hahahaha!

Several people missed out on the picture, but here's some of the crowd.

We had such a great time. And we laughed until we hurt. I'm just so thankful for such wonderful friends.

On another note, I'm leaving with my Sunday School class Friday afternoon headed to Maine. We're going on a mission trip to help out with a church there. We're driving... a LOOONG way :) I'll definitely try to update about our trip while I'm gone. Prayers are appreciated.

Until next time.
Love God. Love people.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my sweet, precious Mama.
I am beyond blessed, and I will forever be thankful for you.

My mama is one of the most amazing women in the whole world.

-She loves Jesus.
-She has always been such a wonderful example for my little sister and I.
-She loves my daddy more every single day, and that, to me, is so special.
-She takes care of her own mother by going out 2-3 times a week to help with grocery shopping and baths. Never once does she ask for recognition...she simply does it because she adores her mother, my precious mamaw.
-She cooks, cleans, and works a full time job.
-She prays for her family multiple times a day.
-She's pretty much superwoman. :)

I hope I am half the daughter and mother that she is.

Mama, I am so thankful for you. People tell me all the time..."You are just like your mother." And I am honored. I love you so much. Thank you for being my best friend.

We are so blessed.

If you missed the chance to tell your mama that you love her.. don't wait another second. Mama's are a precious gift to be cherished.

Until next time.
Love God. Love people.

Hello Mama Deer.

40 m.p.h.
Center Hill Road.
SUUUPER foggy.
late @ night.

BAM!

Mama deer can out of no where and slammed into my beautiful car. :(
It scared the daylights out of me.

I now believe it when people say that deers run into cars.
I didn't see the deer until we collided.
It happened so fast that it seems like a bad dream...
but then I'm reminded it really did happen when I see my car.

You can still see the hair.

Thank goodness for insurance.
and people who know how to fix cars.
and my mama and daddy for telling me everything was okay.

It really could have been a lot worse. I'm thankful that the good Lord was watching over me.

Until next time.
Love God. Love people.
